I have so many pictures from my trip, and still sorting through them to find the best ones to post. Here is some pictures from an automatic beer store. This is not just a glorified vending machine, but an entire building that is automated with robotic equipment, all set up, designed, engineered to provide you with a case or two of nice and cold beer. The machine accepts old bottles too, in exchange for some credit towards your next case of beer.

1 more picture after the break.

It is both strange and awesome being in a country that actually has history. It is amazing how much the past effects the current way of life. Amsterdam has tons of it, from the museums to the red light district, it is certainly a city packed full of beauty:

Everywhere you look there is ancient buildings, traditions, and ideas. This picture is from Berlin, which may have had the most historical energy of any of the places I visited:

More on berlin after the break.

I am now at the Washington DC airport, about to hop on the last leg of my trip, back to Los Angeles. It has been an amazing couple of weeks, and I will be sure to post lots of pictures soon.
So in totality I made it to:
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Groening, Netherlands
Bremen, Germany
Delmenhorst, Germany
Braunschweig, Germany
Hamburg, Germany
Berlin, GermanyAnd a few more smaller cities, but those were the main ones. It is always hard to come home after such an awesome trip, but I suppose its time to head back to earth, at least mentally. I think I can recover my sleep pattern before monday, but we will see.
On a side note, I have to officially not recommend united airlines to anyone. Thankfully we arrived safely and had a great time, but we had no luggage (they lost our bags) for over half of our trip (8 days), and when we tried to seek any kind of help, we were treated very poorly. All in all its not a big deal, but if you are thinking of flying united, maybe don't check your bags, or think of flying on another carrier.

Europe is so logical. I love it. Things here have similarities to the states, but for the most part everything is different; and more efficient. You have to pay a euro to rent a shopping cart (which is about $1.60 in usa), but when you bring the cart back, you get your money back. There are no infractions or petty harrassement from law enforcement - if they stop you, its because you are clearly doing something wrong. Driving is also totally different here. The cars have the right of way. If someone is hauling ass down a street, you have to get out of the way, you can't expect the laws to help you if you were not paying attention. There are not very many silly lawsuits here. Some company in America this past week took out a lawsuit against smart phones (pda-phones), and then filed a lawsuit a few days later against a whole slew of major electronics companies.
Don't get me wrong, I am an American, and I embrace that in different ways; it is certainly nothing I want to change, however there are a few things that often make me cringe, and it is nice to have a break from those things :)

As I write this I am sitting in the terminal at LAX, almost ready to board the plane. I am departing to Europe for about 2 weeks to visit the Netherlands and Germany to visit a friend and relax. We will be touring Amsterdam as well as the neighboring German cities :)
Very exciting. Pictures and ramblings to follow.
